Dirty Cowboys manager Jake Thomas is dead serious when you ask him about the type of babe who’ll compete tonight for the club’s esteemed “Sexiest Bull Rider” title. “Any and all,” he says. “The drunk one would be the one existing variable.”
The rules go something like this: Hop on Medina County’s only mechanical bull, and make like you’re Playboy's next centerfold. If the crowd votes you the hottest rider among the competition, you win bragging rights until this time next week, when the club does the contest all over again. Meantime, women drink for free until midnight while morning-show producer Captain Tony of WGAR-FM 99.5 spins country-rock tunes. “Thursday definitely brings in a different crowd,” says Thomas. “It’s not just strictly country folk who come in here.” The Sexiest Bull Rider Competition starts at 9 tonight at Dirty Cowboys, 2743 State Route 18 (Medina Road to the locals) in Medina.
