  • Robin Trower's Cleveland show canceled

    Thu Mar 27, 2008 at 11:36:17 AM

This just in: Robin Trower’s concert at House of Blues tonight has been canceled because Trower is sick and is apparently not a gamer at all. Refunds are available at point of purchase. – Michael Gallucci

    Dave Chambers says:

Not a gamer? You're an asshole! They guy is 63 and touring the US... getting sick could derail the whole tour or even kill the guy. Not a gamer... fuck you.

    Frits says:

Yeah, what Dave Chambers said. Grow the hell up "Michael Gallucci" and try to act like a professional, you wannabe. By the way, I saw RT a few months ago in FL and can report that he's only gotten better over the years. Awesome guitarist!!!

    To Michael Gallucci:
I have never witnessed the likes of such irresponsible journalism in my life!!!
Robin Trower cancels a couple of shows (a very rare event in his long career) because he was ill and was having trouble breathing... and you have the nerve to criticize him? Personal health is no game!!!
You would feel like the jerk that you apparently are if his condition took a turn for the worse you moron. As a freelance writer, I can vouch that it is jouranlism like yours that gives the media profession a bad name. Your editor should discipline you for this kind of conduct. There are morals and ethics that should apply in situations like this..and your lack of either is an embarassment to the field. If you were a real journalist, (and a real man) you would apoligize to Robin Trower,to his management, and also to his fans! Finally,I will monitor this site to see if appropriate actions are taken. If not, expect some nasty letters to the editor from some angry Trower fans whom have every right to be upset.

    Ho says:

Right Mike......like you are "in the game" writing for this bottom shelf ignored rag of a publication.......have a nice quiet career

It should be noted that Michael Gallucci has an editor who occasionally inserts lines he fancies amusing into Mr. Gallucci's work.

Please redirect your vitriol toward me.

    Michael Gallucci says:

It also should be noted that I agree with my editor, Joe P. Tone: Trower is a pussy for not sucking it up and playing the show.

    Abe B, says:

Mike.. really... As a guitarist and evidently you aren't, the sheer weight of a Strat pressing down on the chest of a 30-something man.. let alone a 63 year old is a bit different. How old are you? Ever do a tour? Ever play onstage? Ever play in a three piece band where your axe is THE main instrument? Trower has canceled few shows in his long long career. I have seen him at least once a year since '74. 1974. Perhaps Mike, the man is really sick in a way that he COULDN'T have played the show even if he wanted to?? Unless you are just trying to stir the pot to attract readers, who are you to judge under what physical circumstances a man can play 60 or 90 minutes, and deliver his best...? Do the right thing.. and apologize to the fans.. it will do you no harm..

    J. Reason says:

    Joe
Sorry to hear that as an editor, you would think it to be amusing to suggest that Robin Trower's show was important than his
health. By the way, Trower management has already made the 2 cancelled Ohio dates a priority for the next tour...which will possibly be as early as this fall. In his entire career, Trower has cancelled very few dates due to sickness...or for any other reason. Your lack of morals, ethics, & compassion on this subject is quite disturbing & unacceptable.
