  • Cavs guard Eric Snow out 4-6 weeks with arthritis. No, seriously.

    Wed Mar 12, 2008 at 04:24:55 PM

Fifty-seven-year-old point guard Eric Snow is the latest victim of the injury bug that has been continually biting the Cavs this season. The Cavs said yesterday that Snow will be out 4-6 weeks with “arthritic-related symptoms in his left knee,” which could have just as easily been listed as out 4-6 weeks with “being really old.”

After appearing in just 22 games this season for a grand total of 306 minutes, and going 6-38 from the field for a total of 22 points, Snow is actually being shelved to clear a roster spot for Sasha Pavlovic, who should return for the Cavs next game. Snow should be back for the playoffs, though, where I’m sure coach Mike Brown will extol his defense, his intangibles, his savvy veteran leadership, which could just as easily be described as “his really oldness.” – Vince Grzegorek
