  • Larry Hughes to perform totally "random act of kindness," presuming the cameras get there on time

We at C-Notes love kindness. We really do. And random acts of kindness are even better — there’s nothing more heartfelt than a a unplanned impulse to do good. And we love Larry Hughes, too, in a “sure, why not?” kind of way, although sometimes we question his shot selection, and are pretty sure we're not the only ones who feel that way.

But even though we also love getting tips when newsworthy things are going to happen, we were a bit befuddled when we received a bulletin from the Cavs yesterday that Larry Hughes was planning to perform a "random act of kindness" between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, and could we please cover it?

Turns out Hughes is going to be giving 37 families of sick children $50 gift certificates to Red Robin “so they can have a family dinner out on him." Awesome gesture, and definitely kind. But considering I’m blogging about it before he’s done it, not at all random. -- Gus Garcia-Roberts
